Labster
This post is also available in: Nederlands (Dutch)
Labster offers a large collection of virtual laboratory simulations in which students can conduct experiments online. The content of the simulations ranges from simple beginner experiments to simulations that allow students to make their own protocol changes. The interactive simulations comprehensively cover the underlying theory of the experiments and various steps in the protocols, enabling students to apply knowledge directly.
Labster can be used both to prepare for a lab and to explain the background of experiments. This allows more time to get started during in-person teaching. Teachers can track their students’ progress through a dashboard, providing insight into steps that students are struggling with.
The simulations are primarily focused on life sciences and chemistry.
