Idea Speeddating
Have students circulate through the space, sharing insights about their topic, brainstorm together or present an elevator pitch. As they present their learnings multiple times on several “speed dates”, students’ presentation skills and perspectives will grow. They also get feedback from multiple students making them able to improve their findings further.
On-campus
The activity takes 10 to 30 minutes depending on the amount of speed dates and could be done with maximum of 30 students. It could be used as a blended learning activity.

Set-up classroom
Set up the classroom in a way students could be presenting to each other without disturbing each other too much. Besides that, plenty of space should be provided to move around. A large classroom could be suggested.
Optionally: Using a Teaching & Learning Lab could be suggested, due to its flexibility in furniture. Students could use the Whiteboard walls to support their presentation. Otherwise, using a Learning Plaza could be suggested, due to its large size and flexible use.
Step 1. (Preparation)
Create an assignment or question for students to answer. Have students prepare themselves before or during class, so they have findings to use for their speed dates.
Step 2. (During class)
Instruct students about the learning activity. Provide students with information about their group and explain the rotation system.
Optional: if students are presenting group findings, let them group together
Step 3. (During class)
Students present their insights or findings. When finished, student(s) provide feedback. Then they swap roles.
Step 4. (During class)
Let students rotate to their next date. And repeat step 3.
Step 5. (Evaluation)
A plenary evaluation could be done. Maybe provide some general feedback as a teacher after watching a couple of presentations.
