DialogueTrainer
This post is also available in: Nederlands (Dutch)
DialogueTrainer allows students to practice conversational skills. Teachers can create their own simulation in which students practice conversational skills with a virtual character. The character responds with both text and emotion to the choices a student makes, and these choices lead to a score. Examples of scenarios you can create in DialogueTrainer include a conversation about bad news or a pharmaceutical consultation.
Students can practice difficult conversations this way, or you can offer the scenarios in preparation for the face-to-face conversations students have during class. Dialogue Trainer can be directly integrated into a course from Brightspace.
In Brightspace, you can find Dialogue Trainer by clicking Content on the yellow bar, then selecting Add Existing > More > Third Party > Dialogue Trainer.
After logging in to Dialogue Trainer, you will find user manuals with instructions. If you are having problems or have any other questions, please contact Teachingsupport@uu.nl
