Numworx

This post is also available in: Nederlands (Dutch)

Numworx supports the use of formulas and graphs. Numworx is a further development of the ‘Digitale Wiskunde Omgeving’ (DWO), a learning and testing platform for mathematics in secondary and higher education and was developed by staff from the Freudenthal Institute.

Numworx consists of two parts: the application Numworx Author (downloadable from the UU (Utrecht University) Software Center) and the web browser Numworx Webapp (https://numworx.uu.nl). Questions and tests are developed in the Author environment, and practice assignments are made available and formative tests scheduled and administered in the Webapp environment. Results are also visible in the Webapp. Numworx also has a secure test-taking environment, in which summative tests can be taken on the UU test Chromebooks.

Curious about the different question types and other possibilities offered by Numworx? The demo test will give you a good impression.

If you would like to make use of Numworx, please contact team Digital Testing (digitaletoetsing@uu.nl). In addition, if you would like to have a test taken on a UU Chromebook, please contact your faculty scheduling office. More information about the use and possibilities of Numworx can be found at the Numworx support site.
