H5P is an authoring tool that enables you to add interactive content to your course in Brightspace. As an author you can create, share and reuse your content and applications such as interactive video’s, a photo collage, drag-and-drop questions and presentations.
H5P offers a range of different content types that you can create for various needs. For example, with the interactive video content type you can add ‘fill-the-blank’, multiple choice questions or pop-up text to a video. With a hotspot image you can test whether a student is able to find the correct spot on an image and with the Image Juxtaposition students can compare two images interactively.
Use H5P to enrich your course and let students practice with the material in their own time. The tool let’s students interact more active with the course content and expand their learning.
More than 40 different learning activities are currently available in H5P.

Is it possible to reuse the content I created for one course in another course or share it with others?
Yes you certainly can. H5P activities can be inserted into a course via a plugin in Brightspace, as well as shared by embedding the activities on a web page.
What is the difference between the content types of H5P and other interactive tools in Brightspace?
Some H5P activities have overlap with other tools offered in Brightspace. For example, with H5P it is possible to add interactive videos to the course environment, this is also possible with FeedbackFruits Interactive Video. However, H5P additionally offers a large number of other activities that are not covered by Brightspace or other tools. You can use the tool especially to enable your students to practice more with the material and to make your Brightspace course interactive in an accessible way. H5P is user-friendly, but it naturally takes time to explore the possibilities and learn how to work with the tool.
